Sampler quilts have always been popular, and modern quilters have shown a special fondness for creating heirloom sampler quilts today.
Participating in a sampler quilt along is a terrific way for quilters to try out new techniques and fabric combinations. Hosting a sampler quilt along is a wonderful way for a shop to help new quilters along their quilting journey. Making a sampler quilt hosted by my local quilt shop was really the thing that helped me realize how much I loved quilting.
Recently, The Old Country Store and Quilt Museum announced a contest they were
doing in conjunction with our own, Lynne Hagmeier of Kansas Troubles Quilters.
